 한국 굴착기 운전 기능사 취득 방법


1. 필기시험 준비 및 응시:

  • 시험 과목: 굴착기 조종, 점검 및 안전관리 (1과목)
    • 주요 학습 내용은 점검, 주행 및 작업, 구조 및 기능, 안전관리, 건설기계관리법 및 도로교통법, 장비 구조 등

코스 운전 (약 2분)



굴착기 운전 기능사 실기 시험의 코스 운전은 굴착기를 조종하여 정해진 S자 코스를 전진 및 후진으로 운전하는 능력을 평가하는 과정입니다. 코스 운전은 실기 시험 전체 100점 중 25점의 비중을 차지하며, 나머지 75점은 굴착 작업 평가에 해당합니다. 코스 운전에서 0점을 받으면 굴착 작업 점수와 관계없이 실격 처리됩니다.

시험 개요:

  • 시험 시간: 약 2분
  • 시험 내용:
    • 전진: 출발선을 통과하여 S자 코스를 따라 전진합니다. 중간 지점의 정지선 내에 운전석 쪽 앞바퀴를 정지시킨 후 3초 이상 정지합니다. 이후 뒷바퀴가 도착선을 통과할 때까지 전진합니다.
    • 후진: 도착선 통과 후 후진하여 앞바퀴가 출발선(및 종료선)을 통과하고 주차 구역 내에 정지하면 코스 운전이 종료됩니다.
  • 주요 평가 항목:
    • 코스 이탈 여부
    • 정지선 정지 여부 및 정확성 (위치, 시간)
    • 차량의 움직임 및 조작의 숙련도
    • 안전 수칙 준수 여부 (상부 회전체 고정 등)

코스 운전 시 유의사항 및 감점 요인:

  • 출발 전:
    • 안전벨트 미착용 시 감점될 수 있습니다.
    • 운전석에 오르거나 내릴 때 정해진 순서대로 손잡이를 잡지 않으면 감점될 수 있습니다.
  • 주행 중:
    • 코스 라인을 터치하거나 이탈하면 감점 또는 실격될 수 있습니다. (단, 출발선, 종료선, 정지선, 도착선, 주차 구역선, 주차선은 제외될 수 있습니다.)
    • 전진 시 뒷바퀴가 도착선을 통과하지 않고 후진하는 경우 실격 처리될 수 있습니다.
    • 주행 중 상부 회전체를 고정하지 않으면 감점될 수 있습니다.
  • 정지 시:
    • 중간 지점 정지선 내에 앞바퀴를 정확히 정지시키지 못하거나 3초 이상 정지하지 않으면 감점될 수 있습니다. 이때 브레이크 등이 켜져야 합니다.
  • 종료 시:
    • 주차 구역 내에 앞바퀴를 위치시키지 못하면 감점될 수 있습니다.
    • 시험 종료 후 기어 중립, 파킹 브레이크, 운전대 제자리를 수행하지 않으면 각 항목별로 감점될 수 있습니다.
    • 안전벨트를 해제하지 않거나 하차 시 안전하게 손잡이를 잡고 내려오지 않으면 감점될 수 있습니다.
  • 실격 처리:
    • 코스 운전 전체 과정이 0점인 경우
    • 출발 신호 후 1분 내에 앞바퀴가 출발선을 통과하지 못하는 경우
    • 주차 브레이크를 해제하지 않고 앞바퀴가 출발선을 통과하는 경우
    • 중간 지점 정지선 내에 일시 정지하지 않은 경우
    • 뒷바퀴가 도착선을 통과하지 않고 후진 주행하여 돌아가는 경우


굴착 작업 (약 4분)



굴착기 운전 기능사 실기 시험의 굴착 작업은 수험자가 굴착기를 사용하여 주어진 굴착 구역에서 흙을 파서 정해진 위치에 옮겨 담고, 옮겨 담은 흙을 평탄하게 정리하는 능력을 평가하는 과정입니다. 코스 운전(25점)과 함께 실기 시험의 대부분인 75점의 높은 비중을 차지하며, 굴착 작업에서 0점을 받으면 코스 운전 점수와 관계없이 실격 처리됩니다.

시험 개요:

  • 시험 시간: 약 4분

    • 작업 종료: 평탄 작업 완료 후 버킷을 완전히 펼친 상태로 지면에 내려놓고 시험을 종료합니다.

    • 굴착 작업의 숙련도 및 효율성
    • 선회 시 폴과의 안전 거리 유지 및 버킷 통과 구역 정확한 통과 여부
    • 덤핑 위치의 정확성

굴착 작업 시 유의사항 및 감점 요인:

  • 작업 시작 전:
    • 안전벨트 착용 여부
    • 작업 전 장비 점검 소홀 시 감점될 수 있습니다.
  • 굴착 시:
    • 굴착 깊이 및 흙의 양이 미흡할 경우 감점될 수 있습니다. 버킷에 흙을 평적 이상으로 채우는 것이 중요합니다.
    • 굴착 구역 라인을 침범하거나 가상 굴착 제한선을 초과하여 작업하면 감점될 수 있습니다.
  • 선회 시:
    • 선회 시 B 지점의 폴이나 가상 통과 제한선을 건드리거나 버킷 통과 구역 사이를 통과하지 못하면 감점 또는 실격될 수 있습니다.
    • 선회 시 상부 회전체를 고정하지 않으면 감점될 수 있습니다.
    • 굴착물을 과도하게 흘리면서 선회하면 감점될 수 있습니다.
  • 덤핑 시:
    • 덤핑 위치가 정확하지 않거나 흙을 고르게 펴지 못하면 평탄 작업에서 감점될 수 있습니다.
  • 평탄 작업 시:
    • 평탄 작업을 소홀히 하거나 완료하지 못하면 감점될 수 있습니다.
  • 작업 종료 시:
    • 버킷을 완전히 펴서 지면에 내려놓지 않거나, 기어 중립, 파킹 브레이크, 운전대 제자리를 수행하지 않으면 각 항목별로 감점될 수 있습니다.
    • 안전벨트를 해제하지 않거나 하차 시 안전하게 손잡이를 잡고 내려오지 않으면 감점될 수 있습니다.

    • 굴착 작업 전체 과정이 0점인 경우
    • 굴착 및 덤프 작업 횟수가 4회 미만인 경우

3. 건설기계조종사 면허증 발급:

  • 굴착기운전기능사 자격증을 취득한 후에는 건설기계관리법에 따라 건설기계조종사 면허를 발급받아야 굴착기를 합법적으로 조종할 수 있습니다.
  • 발급 절차:
    • 시·군·구청 방문하여 건설기계조종사 면허 발급 신청
    • 구비 서류:
      • 굴착기운전기능사 자격증 사본
      • 사진 1장 (3.5cm x 4.5cm)
      • 1종 운전면허증 (없을 경우 신체검사서 추가)
      • 수수료 (약 2,500원)
  • 면허증은 상장형과 수첩형이 있으며, 면허증 발급 용도라면 상장형을 선택하는 것이 비용과 시간을 절약할 수 있습니다.

  • 굴착기운전기능사 시험은 한국산업인력공단 (Q-net)에서 시행합니다. 큐넷 웹사이트에서 시험 일정, 원서 접수, 합격자 발표 등의 정보를 확인할 수 있습니다.
  • 필기시험과 실기시험 모두 100점 만점에 60점 이상을 받아야 합격입니다.

How to Obtain the South Korean Excavator Operator Qualification

1. Prepare for and Take the Written Exam:

  • Exam Subject: Excavator Operation, Inspection, and Safety Management (1 subject)
    • Key learning content includes inspection, driving and operation, structure and function, safety management, the Construction Machinery Management Act and Road Traffic Act, and equipment structure.
  • Exam Type: Multiple-choice (4 options), 60 questions (60 minutes)
  • Passing Score: 60 or more points out of 100
  • Preparation Method:
    • Study theory using textbooks and practice with past exam papers.
    • Previous exam questions tend to be reissued in a similar format.
  • Eligibility: There are no specific eligibility restrictions for the written exam; anyone can apply.

2. Prepare for and Take the Practical Exam:

  • Exam Subject: Excavator Operation Practice (Driving and Excavation Work)

  • Exam Type: Performance-based (approximately 6 minutes)

  • Eligibility: Must be able to apply within 2 years after passing the written exam.

  • Passing Score: 60 or more points out of 100



Course Driving (approximately 2 minutes) 


  • The course driving portion of the excavator operator qualification practical exam evaluates the ability to operate an excavator forward and backward through a designated S-shaped course. Course driving accounts for 25 points out of the total 100 points for the practical exam, with the remaining 75 points allocated to the excavation work evaluation. Receiving 0 points in course driving will result in disqualification regardless of the excavation work score. Exam Outline:

    • Exam Time: Approximately 2 minutes
    • Exam Content:
      • Forward Movement: Proceed forward from the starting line, following the S-shaped course. Stop the front wheel on the operator's side within the stop line in the middle section for at least 3 seconds. Continue forward until the rear wheels pass the finish line.
      • Backward Movement: After passing the finish line, reverse the excavator until the front wheels pass the starting line (and finishing line) and stop within the parking area. This concludes the course driving portion.
    • Key Evaluation Items:
      • Whether the course is deviated from
      • Whether and how accurately the stop line is stopped at (position, time)
      • Proficiency in vehicle movement and operation
      • Whether safety regulations are observed (fixing the upper structure, etc.) Precautions and Deduction Factors During Course Driving:
    • Before Starting:
      • Failure to wear a seatbelt may result in a deduction.
      • Failure to hold the designated handles in the correct order when getting on or off the operator's seat may result in a deduction.
    • During Driving:
      • Touching or deviating from the course lines may result in a deduction or disqualification (however, the starting line, finishing line, stop line, arrival line, parking area line, and parking line may be excluded).
      • Reversing before the rear wheels pass the finish line during forward movement may result in disqualification.
      • Failure to fix the upper structure while driving may result in a deduction.
    • When Stopping:
      • Failure to stop the front wheel accurately within the stop line in the middle section or failure to stop for at least 3 seconds may result in a deduction. At this time, the brake lights must be on.
    • At the End:
      • Failure to position the front wheels within the parking area may result in a deduction.
      • Failure to set the gear to neutral, engage the parking brake, and return the steering wheel to its original position after the exam may result in deductions for each item.
      • Failure to release the seatbelt or failure to safely hold the handles when getting off may result in a deduction.
    • Disqualification:
      • Receiving 0 points for the entire course driving process.
      • Failure to pass the starting line with the front wheels within 1 minute after the starting signal.
      • Passing the starting line with the front wheels without releasing the parking brake.
      • Failure to make a temporary stop within the stop line in the middle section.
      • Reversing without the rear wheels passing the finish line.


Excavation Work (approximately 4 minutes) 



The excavation work portion of the excavator operator qualification practical exam evaluates the examinee's ability to use an excavator to dig soil from a designated excavation area, transfer it to a specified location, and level the transferred soil. Along with course driving (25 points), this section carries a high weight of 75 points in the practical exam, and receiving 0 points in excavation work will result in disqualification regardless of the course driving score. 

Exam Outline:
      • Exam Time: Approximately 4 minutes
      • Exam Content:
        • Excavation (4 or more times): Perform excavation work at least 4 times in the designated excavation area (Point A).
        • Swing: While carrying the excavated soil, safely rotate (swing) the excavator, passing through the bucket passage area between the poles installed at Point B.
        • Dumping (Filling): Rotate and fill the pit at Point C with the excavated soil.
        • Leveling Work: After filling Point C with soil, level the area.
        • Work Completion: After completing the leveling work, fully extend the bucket and lower it to the ground to end the exam.
      • Key Evaluation Items:
        • Proficiency and efficiency of excavation work
        • Maintaining a safe distance from the poles and accurately passing through the bucket passage area during swinging
        • Accuracy of the dumping location
        • Completeness of the leveling work
        • Adherence to the working time
        • Adherence to safety regulations (fixing the upper structure, etc.) Precautions and Deduction Factors During Excavation Work:
      • Before Starting Work:
        • Whether the seatbelt is worn.
        • Insufficient equipment inspection before work may result in a deduction.
      • During Excavation:
        • Insufficient excavation depth and amount of soil may result in a deduction. It is important to fill the bucket to at least the level mark.
        • Working beyond the excavation area lines or exceeding the virtual excavation limit lines may result in a deduction.
      • During Swing:
        • Touching the poles or virtual passage limit lines at Point B or failing to pass between the bucket passage areas during swinging may result in a deduction or disqualification.
        • Failure to fix the upper structure during swinging may result in a deduction.
        • Excessively spilling excavated material while swinging may result in a deduction.
      • During Dumping:
        • Inaccurate dumping location or failure to spread the soil evenly may result in a deduction in the leveling work.
      • During Leveling Work:
        • Neglecting or failing to complete the leveling work may result in a deduction.
      • At the End of Work:
        • Failure to fully extend the bucket and lower it to the ground, or failure to set the gear to neutral, engage the parking brake, and return the steering wheel to its original position may result in deductions for each item.
        • Failure to release the seatbelt or failure to safely hold the handles when getting off may result in a deduction.
      • Disqualification:
        • Receiving 0 points for the entire excavation work process.
        • Performing excavation and dumping work less than 4 times.
        • Touching poles or lines during excavation, swinging, dumping, or leveling work.

3. Apply for the Construction Machinery Operator's License:

  • After obtaining the Excavator Operator Qualification, you must obtain a Construction Machinery Operator's License according to the Construction Machinery Management Act to legally operate an excavator.
  • Application Procedure:
    • Visit the city, county, or district office to apply for the Construction Machinery Operator's License.
    • Required Documents:
      • Copy of the Excavator Operator Qualification certificate
      • 1 photo (3.5cm x 4.5cm)
      • Type 1 Driver's License (if not available, submit a physical examination certificate)
      • Fee (approximately 2,500 KRW)
  • Licenses are available in certificate and booklet forms; if the purpose of the license is for identification, choosing the certificate form can save costs and time.

굴착기운전기능사 자격 취득하기 [2일차] 굴착과정을 부드럽게 만들기 어색했던 첫 만남을 뒤로하고, 굴착기와 다시 마주하는 두 번째 날이 밝았다. 오늘은 굴착기의 기본적인 작동법을 넘어, 좀 더 부드럽고 효율적인 굴착 작업을 위한 구분동작을 이어하는 연습에 집중할 예정이다. 과연 얼마나 익숙해질 수 있을까? 두 번째 출석  아무래도 처음 배우는 중장비이다보니 첫날에는 무거운 장비를 내 손으로 조작하는 것에 대하여 설렘과 떨림, 그리고 무엇보다도 재미있었다. 학원으로 향하는 발걸음이 어제보다는 조금 가벼워졌다. 7시 40분쯤 도착하여 내일배움카드를 태그하여 출석을 인정했다. 아무래도 국가에서 지원하는 사업의 일환이다보니 쉬는시간과 출석시간, 종료시간은 카드로 깐깐하게 운영되는 느낌이다. 그래도 어제 하루 탔다고 낯선 장비에 대한 긴장감보다는, 조금 더 원활하게 조작하는 나의 모습을 그리며 기대감을 키웠다.  굴착기 연속 동작  오늘 교육의 핵심은 굴착기의 각 동작(붐, 암, 버킷, 스윙)을 끊김 없이 부드럽게 연결 하는 연습이었다. 강사님은 숙련된 운전자의 시범을 보여주시며, 각 레버를 얼마나 부드럽고 정확하게 조작해야 원하는 움직임을 만들어낼 수 있는지 설명해주셨다. 마치 오케스트라의 지휘자처럼, 각 악기의 움직임을 조화롭게 이끌어내야 아름다운 연주를 할 수 있듯이, 굴착 작업 역시 각 동작의 유기적인 연결이 중요하다고 강조하셨다. 처음에는 각 레버를 따로 조작하는 데 급급했지만, 의식적으로 각 동작의 시작과 끝을 부드럽게 이어보려고 노력했다. 하지만 생각처럼 쉽지 않았다. 붐을 올리면서 암을 뻗고, 버킷을 덤프하는 일련의 동작들이 마치 따로 노는 듯 어색하기만 했다. 앞뒤로 떨리는 굴착기  특히 붐과 암을 동시에 조작하여 흙을 퍼 올리는 과정에서 굴착기가 앞뒤로 심하게 떨리는 현상이 자주 발생했다. 이는 레버 조작이 미숙하여 유압 실린더를 급하게 조작하거나 끝에서 손을 놔버리는 등 각 동작의 타이밍이 맞지 않기 때문이라고 강사...

굴착기운전기능사 자격 취득하기 [준비 2] 실기 학원 등록하기 내일배움카드 활용하기  혹시나 사용할 수 있을까 하고 작년에 내일배움카드를 발급 받아두었었다. 다만 월 소득기준이라던가 신청할 수 있는 기준에 해당하지 않아서 그 이후에 전혀 활용을 하지 못하고 있었다. 게다가 이런 중장비 학원의 경우에는 주말에 이런 내일배움카드 훈련과정을 열지 않았었다. 그렇다. 않았었다. 과거형이다. 현재 내가 있는 지역에서 주말에 내일배움카드 훈련과정을 운영하는 학원이 두 군데나 있다! 게다가 상시기능사 중장비 실기도 주말에 열지 않았었다. (내 기억에는) 그런데 주말 실기 시험도 운영한다. 정말 나이스한 일이 아닐 수 없다. (인생을 조금 더 바쁘게 보낼 수 있게 되었다.) 내일배움카드를 활용할 수 있는지 확인한 뒤 내가 등록이 가능함을 알고 본격적으로 등록 학원을 검색하였다. 학원 등록  내일배움카드는 일정 학원 금액 일부만 수강생이 자부담을 하게끔 국가에서 지원해줘서 재취업 / 중소기업 재직자들에게 자기 능력 개발을 할 수 있도록 지원하는 취지의 일종의 복지혜택이다. work24 고용노동부 홈페이지에 들어가 확인한 결과 굴착기 주말반은 26만원 지게차 주말반은 14만원의 금액만 내가 부담하면 수업을 들을 수 있음을 확인하였다.  이 사이트의 존재를 모르는 상태에서 찾기가 꽤 어려웠던 기억이 있어서 첨부한다. < ⬇⬇⬇ 사이트 링크⬇⬇⬇> 내일배움카드 훈련찾기 사이트  다만, 문제가 있다면 10회에서 13회의 주말반을 수강한다는 것은 즉 약 두 달 동안 내게 주말이 없음을 의미했다. 그래서 두 주말반을 모두 수강한다는 것은 내게 현실적으로 어려운 일이었다.
